Scott Carrier’s ‘Prisoner of Zion’ is an impressive collection of stories from one of the finest writers in journalism. Scott’s curiosity leads him into war-torn countries, avalanches in his home state of Utah, and perhaps the most dangerous area for him: a professor at a highly-conservative university. I really enjoyed the book — I read an advanced copy — and will return to it again and again. It’s a steal at only 6.99. One of the best things I’ve purchased in a while. For now, it is only available as an eBook.
